About the LIV Center

How We Started

This practice came from the struggle of the owner, who is one of many birthing people who suffer in silence during the perinatal period. While she was in her early postpartum months, Tiffany was suicidal, depressed, and was hoping she could “push through” as she thought that was expected of her. Once Tiffany finally sought therapy, she couldn’t find a clinician who knew about this issue in motherhood and was affordable. While she found help and healed, she was determined for other parents to not have to search far and wide to be well. Therefore, Tiffany used her license and her passion to start a private therapy practice focused on perinatal issues.

Push Counseling and Coaching started in 2018 to help other birthers know they are not alone in this. The goal was to have a practice that was accessible to birthing people and mothers so there was a place to get help with the specific issues related to pregnancy and postpartum. Through the years, we’ve learned that there is not just one issue in parenting and there is so much that isn’t talked about in parenting circles. We have to start sharing about the struggles so that we can develop a sense of community and tear down the stigma of getting help for parenting issues.

Our entire team is trained in perinatal health, but it doesn’t stop there. Sometimes we get asked if you can come to us for non parenting issues, and the answer is yes! Our clinicians have a variety of professional backgrounds and other specializations. We want to serve and support you with whatever counseling need you have

After 6 years of just being a private therapy practice, Push has transformed into The LIV Center for Reproductive Healing, a nonprofit that is more than just therapy. The new name is derived from the owner’s daughter, Livi, as Tiffany’s journey with her first child led to struggle and healing. We envision this to be a center where we turn away no person based on their ability to access services. Over the next few years, we will be a center for food assistance, mental health, physical wellness, research, and advocacy. We serve ALL people for many purposes. Welcome! And we’re glad you’re here.

Our Commitment to You

At The Liv Center, we have two priorities: inclusivity and access. We value being inclusive with our words, actions, and checking our privilege and biases in order to serve clients from all ethnic and religious backgrounds, and sexual orientations. We will support you in your preferred pronouns, your beliefs, and your physical ability for you to feel safe to do the emotional work in therapy. We also prioritize access in the DFW community. With our Addison office, telehealth availability, sliding scales and being in network with most major insurances, we want to make sure there are little to no barriers for you to pursue therapy if you want. We look forward to walking with you in your journey to and through parenthood!

Our Philosophy

At The LIV Center, the philosophy is that all people should feel confident using the strength and power they already possess, both physically and mentally. We want you to feel comfortable and supported through all the twist and turns, triumphs and struggles.

We believe our role is to follow your needs as they arise, with no agendas and no judgment. We will not impose our personal beliefs into what you feel and decide. Our job is to remind you that you are not alone, there are resources everywhere for you to find whatever you need, and that you are the best person you want to be.

We look forward to supporting you!
